2024-2034 Long Range Facilities Plan

Our Future
is
Learner-Centered

Our North Star.

Modernizing our campuses to support deep learning, innovation and academic excellence.

Our Long Range Facilities Plan is a collaborative planning initiative to catalyze district action to modernize our schools and create opportunities to design upgraded innovative, vibrant student-centered learning environments.

In October 2022, SRVUSD launched an inclusive planning process to develop concrete actions the District can take in the Implementation Phase of this plan over the next decade to modernize, upgrade and renovate our schools to support our Strategic Directions and Learner Profile goals.

Throughout the process, SRVUSD collaborated with community leaders, staff, families, students, and school planning experts to develop actionable strategies the District will advance over the next decade to work towards building equitable learning environments.

Our Vision.

Equity and Social Emotional Well-Being to Support Deep Learning and Innovation... at the center of our Design Guidelines.

The Long Range Facilities Plan aligns our Strategic Directions, Learner Profile and educational programs to advance and build equitable facilities, creating innovative and inclusive learning environments dedicated to academic excellence for all students to thrive and succeed. The recommendations included in the plan are reflective of:

  • Modernization and upgraded learning environments to reflect changes in education, technology and safety standards;
  • Innovative learning environments that foster collaboration, wellness, and choice, while prioritizing inclusivity to accommodate individual needs and developmental ages;
  • An inclusive approach to planning grounded in the needs of SRVUSD residents; and
  • The district’s prioritization of projects that achieve equity district-wide for all learners to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

Our Approach

Two phases to guide our campus transformations over the next decade.

Over the next decade, SRVUSD student enrollment is projected to decline in some regions yet grow substantially in others.  The plan studies the redistribution of students across school sites so that facilities can be optimized for all learners to thrive.  A part of Phase One focuses on managing student growth in the Bishop Ranch area of San Ramon to ensure additional enrollment can be accommodated. Phase One will also provide upgrades to schools for matching funds from the state to further stretch the community’s investments in San Ramon Valley schools and ensure facilities are equitable and well maintained.
This Long Range Plan is the road map for how facilities will support what the community co-created in our SRVUSD Strategic Directions and Learner Profile.
